Nouns as Subjects
The subject of the sentence tells us who or what the sentence is about. Nouns can be used as subjects in a sentence. Subjects are used with "be," which takes on several forms:
- am
- are
- is
Here are some examples:

Jonathan Winston is the CEO of this company.

Computers are extremely important.

Milo and Dexter are children.
