Different parts of vehicles have different names. There is also a different name for the person who controls different vehicles. A person who controls an airplane is not called the same thing as a person who controls a car. Let's learn the different names.
wheel
Wheels go around and make some vehicles move. Cars have 4 wheels.
steering wheel
We use the steering wheel to make a vehicle go right, left or straight.
brakes
Brakes help to stop a vehicle.
horn
A horn makes a sound to let people know the vehicle is there.
pedals
You make a vehicle move with the pedals. Bicycles and cars have pedals.
propeller
Propellers also make some vehicles move. Boats and airplanes have propellers.
driver
A driver is someone who drives a form of transportation. Airplanes, cars, trains, boats, buses, motorcycles and trucks have drivers.
pilot
A pilot is someone who controls a helicopter or airplane.
conductor
A conductor is someone who checks tickets and makes sure everything is safe on a train.
passenger
Passengers are the people in a vehicle who are not the driver, pilot or conductor. They do not control the vehicle.
