- Possessive noun: Ben's car is rusty.
- Possessive adjective: His car is rusty.
- Possessive pronoun: His is rusty.

- Possessive noun: Jerry's homework is not finished.
- Possessive adjective: His homework is not finished.
- Possessive pronoun: His is not finished.
Human relationships
Possessives show relationships between people.

David's dad is a doctor.

Their sister is a nurse.

Mine is a teacher.
