Types of Adjectives
Adjectives describe nouns in many ways. There are many types of different adjectives. Take a look at the table below for some examples of the different types of adjectives.

Using Nouns as Adjectives
We often use a noun to describe another noun. These nouns act as adjectives! In this case, the "first" noun always describes the second noun.

a desk lamp (this is a lamp that you put on desks)

a wool toque (this is a toque that is made out of the material wool)

a wedding dress (a dress brides wear at weddings)

an autumn jacket (a jacket worn for autumn)
