Scanning tips
When you are scanning, you should:
- read all the questions first (so you know what you’re looking for);
- find the key words in the questions and think about what you need to know (for example, in the question What percentage of all bankruptcies are related to medical expenses? the key words are: percentage and bankruptcies);
- read the title and headings very quickly (so you can find which section the answers are in);
- let your eyes float down the page looking only for the key words (and don’t worry about words you don’t understand);
- when you find the key words read the information around it carefully then choose the best answer to the question;
- if you can’t find the answer quickly, skip to the next question (and go back later when you finish the other questions).
