You will be able to
- watch and take notes on a video that explains why EVS personnel are very important and a list of Basic Rules of Conduct;
- demonstrate understanding of some basic vocabulary connected to professional behavior;
- compare ideas about professionalism from your culture with those of the US;
- demonstrate an understanding of and ability to use common note-taking symbols;
- read and understand notes that contain abbreviations and symbols;
- demonstrate listening comprehension and a knowledge of basic writing conventions by completing dictations of several sentences;
- recognize and use comparison expressions such as The more, the merrier, worse and worse, and The more you practice English, the better your English will be.
- reflect on your learning in a written/oral journal format.
