An ecosystem is a community in nature.
Ecosystems are where animals and plants live together.
In an ecosystem, everything has its own place.
There are plants.
There are animals who eat those plants.
There are other animals who eat those animals.
Ecosystems are fragile.
They can be broken easily if we are not careful.
In an ecosystem, you cannot take anything away.
If you take one thing away, everything will be broken.
Some ecosystems are full of life that we can see.
Rainforests and forests have so many animals and plants.
Other ecosystems seem empty.
It is hard to see life in the polar regions.
But if you look hard enough, you will find signs of a living ecosystem!
Ecosystems are all around us. We just have to look to find them.
