In the past, text messaging was used mostly between friends and family. It was usually very informal. But more recently text messaging has become more common in business settings.

- Do you ever text colleagues or a supervisor? If you do, what kinds of things do you text about?
- What is the difference between texting your friends or family and texting a work colleague?
- Do you use abbreviations like TTYL, brb, or nvm when texting your boss? Why or why not?
