Part One: Warm Up

Discuss the following questions with your partner(s). 

  1. Have you ever moved to a new town or city? Was it a good or bad experience?
  2. What are some problems that a person might have in a new town or city?
  3. Have you ever rented an apartment? If so, did you have to fill out an application form?
  4. What kind of information does the building manager or landlord need to know about someone who wants to rent an apartment? (for example, their name, age, etc.)
