Have you ever told someone to do something? You were likely using an imperative. There are two types of imperatives: Affirmative and Negative. Affirmative imperatives tell people to do something. Negative imperatives tell people "not" to do something.
Affirmative Imperatives
Affirmative Imperatives tell people to do something.

Bring the watermelon to me.

Photocopy that painting for her.

Flip that burger patty.
To make an imperative, you want to start with the regular form of a verb (a verb that has not been modified) and attach the rest of the sentence to it.
