Here is a short list of English idioms using ‘talk’ or ‘speak’. Do you know these idioms? Talk about what you think they mean. 

to speak your mind       She’s always speaking her mind.

to talk (someone’s) ear off       I’m sorry for talking your ear off.

to be like talking to a brick wall       It is like talking to a brick wall.

to (not) be on speaking terms       We’re not on speaking terms.

to talk your way into/out something       I talked my sister out of marrying him.

to talk some sense into someone       Will you try to talk some sense into him?
