Can you remember?

Can you remember the strong adjectives for good and bad that you learned about before? Try to name them.

Adjectives that are not strong are called weak

Be careful when using adverbs before weak and strong adjectives

  • You can use very, quite, a bit with a weak adjective. (You can’t use them with a strong adjective.)
  • You can use absolutely with a strong adjective. (You can’t use it with a strong adjective.)

Really can be used with both weak and strong adjectives.

Like this:

strong and weak adjectives

But not like this:

absolutely not with weak adjectives
