Bugs make a lot of things.
Look at these pictures.
Do you know what these things are?
A spittlebug can make foam for its home.
The foam keeps other animals away.
It also keeps the spittlebugs warm and stops them from drying out.
Termites are known for eating wood, but they are also great builders.
Termites can build mounds up to 9m high!
The mounds have long tunnels.
Termites even make air tunnels so that the mound does not get too hot or too cold.
Spiders aren’t insects, but they do build great things!
Many spiders build webs, but this spider adds something special.
The leaf curling spider takes a dead leaf and makes a nice cozy home to sleep in.
It hides in its home and waits for the web to catch its lunch!
Ants are some of the best animal builders.
In fact, some scientists filled an empty ant colony with cement.
Look at the tunnels and rooms they found when they dug it out!
It's amazing what animals can make!
