Use the research you did about addiction and in your group, take turns sharing the information you found about the types of addiction around the world.

  • Did you find similar information as your group?
  • What information was quite different or even contradictory?

Add any new websites and/or information to your own research as you discuss.

With your group, choose one specific type of chemical or behavioural addiction that you came across in your research. For example, you may choose chemical and heroin, or behavioural and video games. After you agree on one together, tell your teacher your choice.

Each group should be choosing a different addiction and your teacher may tell you your choice is taken, so be sure to have a back-up.

Once each group has its choice approved, they will go online again and begin to search for ways that this particular addiction is treated. In a new Google Document shared with your group, take notes on the ways to treat that addiction and organize them into an outline.

Each member of your group must be prepared to introduce the addiction you've chosen and present its treatments.
