Objectives & Sequence: This lesson is intended to be used as a review of Grammar 4-3.

Students work in pairs and open the corresponding pages below. Students are given situations and are asked to make requests to their partners using specific words or phrases (as studied in Grammar 4-3). First, students should explain the situations to their partners and then make a request. Partners should listen and check that their answers match the ones located at the bottom of their pages.

On Student One's page:

Explain to your partner that you need a ride to the airport. Ask them to give you a ride.

I need a ride to the airport. Would you give me a ride?

  1. Explain to your partner that this cockpit is very hot. Ask your partner to turn down the heat.
