Objectives & Sequence: This lesson is intended to be used as a review of Grammar 8-1.

Intro Student 1 Student 2 Student 3 Student 4

Students work in groups of three to four and open the corresponding pages.

On each page, there are three topics. Each student announces to their group a fictional news event related to the topic. This should be done in the Present Perfect. The group then inquires about the details in the past tense.

As this activity requires students to make up fictional news, it has the potential to be quite humorous.

It must be reminded to students that news is announced using the Present Perfect without mention of a past time. Any details should be discussed using the past tense.
