Objectives and Sequence: This lesson is intended to be used as a review of Grammar 4-3.

Students work in pairs and open the corresponding pages below. Students are given situations and are asked to make requests to their partners using specific words or phrases (as studied in Grammar 4-3). First, students should explain the situation to their partners and then make a request. Partners should listen and check that their answers match the ones located at the bottom of their pages.

Example

  • On Student One's page:
    • Explain to your partner that you need a ride home. Ask them to give you a ride.
      • Would...?

I need a ride home. Would you give me a ride?

  1. Explain to your partner that this car is very hot. Ask your partner to turn down the heat.
