Vancouver Island is in the province of BC. Vancouver Island is an island off the west coast of Canada. There are many fun things to do on Vancouver Island. Victoria has many places to visit. Victoria is the capital city of BC. There is the Provincial Museum, the Wax Museum, Miniature World and Butchart Gardens in Victoria. Butchart Gardens is very beautiful any time of year.

On the west coast of Vancouver Island is a great beach called Long Beach. It is close to the town of Tofino. Tofino and Uculet are two small towns in the area. You can go fishing or whale-watching in these towns. You can hire a guide to take you out to catch salmon. There are lots of small cabins on the beaches in the area. There is also a beautiful, huge new hotel with a fantastic restaurant.

Port Alberni is a town on the way to Tofino. Some of the biggest salmon have been caught in Port Alberni. There is also a famous market nearby in Coombs Market. There are many small shops to buy souvenirs or hand-crafted gifts. Some of the buildings have grass roofs. If you have a sweet tooth, you should stop at the Coombs Candy store for awesome fudge or candy-apples.

There is also another famous attraction on the highway called Cathedral Grove Provincial Park. You should stop there because it is too amazing to miss. There are trees there that are over 600 years old. They are so big that you look like a small child beside them. It is a magical place to spend some time.
