You will be able to

  • demonstrate understanding of some basic vocabulary connected to precaution signs;
  • watch and demonstrate an understanding of the content of an interactive video explaining precaution signs; 
  • read and demonstrate understanding of some common hospital precaution signs; 
  • complete a Venn Diagram comparing the requirements listed in each precaution sign; 
  • practice clear pronunciation of challenging sounds, specifically words containing /s/ and /?/ sounds; 
  • practice with tongue twisters to notice and focus on pronunciation;
  • demonstrate listening comprehension and a knowledge of basic writing conventions by completing dictations of several tongue twisters;
  • recognize and use a common prefix (i.e., en-/em);
  • compare the use of affixes in your language with English; 
  • reflect on your learning in a written/oral journal format.
