Consonant cluster dictations
As you learned in the previous lesson, it can sometimes be difficult to hear consonant clusters. When a consonant cluster comes at the end of a word, we sometimes delete the middle consonant sound or transform the sounds to make them easier to say. For example, asked can sound like ast.
Open Exercise 1 below and read the sentences. Check (?) the words that have consonant clusters. For example, in this sentence, Scrub your hands in the sink, which words have consonant clusters?
Next, open Exercise 2. Listen, repeat, and write the sentences you hear with consonant clusters.
