Paraphrasing

Read and listen to these examples of people giving information. What do you think is the best paraphrase?

Example 1

Paraphrase:

Okay, I will go left, then to the end and turn right. Is that what you mean?

I see. You mean, take the elevator to the third floor and then turn right. Have I got that right?

So the elevator is on the 13th floor?

You're saying that I need to go and get a cart, right?

Example 2

So the elevator is on the 13th floor?

You're saying that I need to go and get a cart, right?

Okay, I will go left, then to the end and turn right. Is that what you mean?
