
You will be able to
- demonstrate understanding of some basic vocabulary connected to conversation styles and to the sports used to help understand these styles (basketball, bowling, and rugby);
- read, listen to, and answer questions about conversational styles in general, about specific styles, and tips for how to adopt a style that is different from your own;
- pronounce lists with appropriate rising and falling intonation;
- watch a short video about how to use and pronounce the sports idioms such as to be blindsided, to chip in, the ball is in your court, and others;
- reflect on your learning in a written/oral journal format.
