Part One: Warm Up

Discuss the following questions with your partner(s).

  1. How would you feel if you received negative feedback in the following situations?
    1. Your parents are disappointed that you aren’t married yet even though you’re only 22 years old.
    2. Your friends think that your new partner isn’t a good person.
    3. Your manager thinks you’re lazy and is angry that you aren’t working harder.
    4. Your customers think your new products aren’t as good as your old products.
  2. Imagine you are the person giving negative feedback. What would you say to make the other person listen to your feedback and advice?
