Congratulations! We have made it all the way to the final stage of the writing / message process; revise. Don’t relax quite yet. There is still significant and important work to be done. In this stage of composing effective professional messages, we will be editing and proofreading.
Editing
Editing is the process of examining your draft (Step Five of the writing process) and making changes to improve its persuasiveness and effectiveness. Remember to constantly ask yourself:
- Will this message achieve the purpose of the communication with this audience?
