Why take notes?
Few students take notes effectively in class because they don’t know why they are taking them. Here are some common mistakes:
- taking too many notes—trying to write everything down
- taking too few notes without any connections between the ideas
- taking messy, disorganized notes
- writing good notes but never looking at them again
