Discuss the following warm-up questions:
- Is the news good for business or bad for business? Explain your answer.
- In your opinion, what is the most important thing about a successful business?
Work in a group of 2-4 students.
- Open this link: Business Week
- Choose a news story that looks interesting.
- After you choose a story, check with your teacher to make sure it is about current events.
- Begin reading the news story with each other. When you come to a word that is unfamiliar, write it down in the course vocabulary document (your teacher will share the document with you). You will define these words later.
- When you are finished, you will read the story again with the rest of the class, and define the vocabulary words.
