Work in a group of 2-4 students.

  • Open this link: USA Today
  • Choose a news story that looks interesting.
  • After you choose a story, check with your teacher to make sure it is okay to use.
  • Begin reading the news story with each other. When you come to a word that is unfamiliar, write it down in the course vocabulary document (your teacher will share the document with you). You will define these words later.
  • When you are finished, you will read the story again with the rest of the class, and define the vocabulary words.
