Part One: Warm Up

  • Do you like shopping? Why or why not?
  • How often do you shop for the following items:
    • clothes
    • shoes
    • bags
    • cookware (pots, dishes, etc.)
    • electronics
    • cosmetics
  • Do you think that you shop more or less than the average person?
  • What is the most expensive thing you have ever bought? Why did you buy it? Was it worth the money? Do you still have it or use it?
  • Have you ever bought something that you didn’t need? Why did you buy it?

  • We are all throwing too much away.
  • We can stop this by buying better things.
  • They are trying to sell products that are sustainable - high quality and/or repairable.
