Adjectives describe nouns:

You have a beautiful car.

Christian looks tired.

It was cold yesterday.
Some adjectives look like verbs. Many English adjectives end in ing or ed. The main difference between adjectives is; the ed ending is used to describe an emotion or a feeling and the ing ending is used to describe the characteristic of a person, thing or situation.
