For this project, research about an insect that is native to your hometown.

First, find out as much as you can about this insect on the internet. Some things to look for are:

  • a picture
  • the name of the insect
  • the scientific name of the insect
  • the size of it
  • what it eats
  • where it lives
  • what it does during the day
  • whether it is dangerous to humans

Once you have found all the facts about the insect, use the 'Information' sheet to make a table with all the facts. For example, the mountain pine beetle is native to North America.
