Students work in pairs and take turns asking questions presented in the following pages:

  1. What can a patient's history tell us?
  2. What types of medical conditions can be passed from parent to child?
  3. Has a doctor ever asked you about your medical history? What questions did she ask?
  4. How can knowing a patient's history help you in your job?
  1. Have you ever been to a country that has rare diseases?
  2. If you were a doctor what questions would you ask a patient?
  3. Do you have any allergies? If yes, what are you allergic to?
  4. Can you describe that last time you went to the emergency room?
  1. Are you addicted to anything? For example: sugar, coffee, or smoking?
  2. How much sleep do you get every night? Do you think this is ideal?
  3. Is healthy food important to you? Describe the food choices you make.
  4. Try to guess the meaning of "runs in the family".
  1. What are important health choices you have made?
  2. What are the benefits of healthy eating?
  3. Do you think you injest too much sugar? What are the dangers of too much sugar?
  4. What is the importance of oral health?
